Lose Weight, Look Younger

The pendulum could swing either way…..some women look younger after losing some weight but underweight women tend to look older and haggard. On the other hand, overweight women also look a lot older than their real age. The solution? To strike as close as possible to your ideal weight without overdoing the weight loss regime. Dietary control and lots of exercise should do the trick because it gives you muscle mass while trimming down your body.

Going on a diet does NOT mean that you have to starve yourself senselessly. Instead, going on a diet means eating sensibly, watching what you put into your mouth and carefully using up your energy resources during the day so that left-over energy source cannot be turned into fat. The strange thing is that many women spend an insane sum of money trying to shed their weight, but this is not necessary. As long as you keep to a regime, change your lifestyle and eat sensibly, it’s all the ‘price’ that you have to pay.

Changing your lifestyle….permanently is a necessary part of losing weight. You see, you could lose your weight now and start feeling the benefits of looking, feeling and behaving much younger than you have in years. The only problem is this – how long do you think it will stick if you don’t STICK to the regime and diet that you started. In order to stay slim and make your effort count for something, you’ll have to make permanent changes to your lifestyle.

What are you putting into that mouth? Have you ever thought about that? I know a lot of women (including me) who grab stuff off the shelves without checking the label. It’s not the most fun thing to do, I have to admit, but there’s really no way to avoid this if you want to make sure you consuming healthy, good food. If you have someone else get your groceries for you, check the labels out yourself, note the brand down and pass this information onto the person who will be helping you with your grocery-shopping. Trust me, the effort will be well worth your time in the long run.

Everyone, not just you, will hit a weak point whenever we’re trying to lose weight. Sometimes you would sit there and wonder if all that effort was worth it. If you don’t want to screw up your chances of losing weight, you should tell everyone you know about how serious you are about losing weight. I know it’s agonizing for some because the chance of failure is there and it’s bad enough to screw up in front of yourself but…the rest of the world? Well, my advice is to let this propel you forward. Let the fact that your friends are going to give you hard time if you don’t follow through be a motivating factor for you. When everyone’s already in on your secret, they’ve got a stake in it too, so, the less you want to fail in front of your family and friends, the higher the chances of you succeeding.

Here’s to your weight loss program and a happy, younger, better-looking you.

No Cosmetic Surgery Needed To Stop The Hands Of Time

Most of us, women at least, have wondered, one time or another, if the fountain of youth was real or is it just a myth. If it was for real, we would like to take a jug of it so that we can stop the spinning hands of time. Legends claim that there IS such a fountain but no one’s found it. Wouldn’t we love to find it, then….and then we would never ever….EVER age.

Reality check. We ALL age.

So, while the hunt for the real fountain of youth goes on, we’ll just have to deal with the fact that every minute of our lives takes us closer, inch by inch, to old age.

This is where alternative therapy and modern science can come to our aid, hand in hand. I’ve come across many different types of alternative therapies that tells people that using a specific method, one can literally ‘slow down’ the signs of aging. They talk, mostly, nothing about STOPPING the hands of time but rather, it’s about slowing down the process. We’re talking about something really realistic over here. And then there’s modern science which comes with fact sheets to prove that people who use their products and services will enjoy an incredible slowdown as far as the aging process is concerned.

Personally, I am not the kind of person who favors plastic surgery because it’s an intrusive method of beautifying someone. But if you’re for it, then by all means, go ahead. To a lot of women, however, medical intervention that involves exponential cost and intrusive surgery is a big turn-off. Where does that leave us? Old?

Nope. Far from it. Believe it or not, with a simple change in lifestyle, adapting of certain regular techniques, together with skincare products and youthful smelling fragrances, things can go a long way. And the beauty of this natural way of slowing down the hands of time is that it is non intrusive, it’s natural, it’s a matter of habit and it doesn’t cost a lot of money.

What’s the secret to looking more beautiful and younger? Persistence, motivation and discipline – those are my answers. If you want something to happen bad enough, trust me, it WILL happen. But before anything can happen, there needs to be some fundamental changes to be made to your life. Otherwise, all effort would be a waste of time and money.

As unlikely as it sounds, making simple changes and using the right type of skincare products and anti-aging fragrance can become your very own fountain of youth. But only if you want it to.

Working With Natural Anti-Aging Products

Not all anti-aging products are made equal and it’s got little to do with the pricing. Well, 25% of how we weigh whether one anti-aging product is better than the other falls on how expensive the product is but that’s not where the story ends. Anti-aging products help improve the condition of the skin by preventing signs of aging and development of wrinkles, uneven skin tone and other symptoms of growing old. As we creep into our thirties, our skin will start losing some of its elasticity. Irked by allergens, some of us who are not blessed with beautiful ageless skin will become sallow.

In terms of how to find the perfect anti-aging creams and solutions for your skin, it’s hard to pin down one brand name or one product because everyone’s skin is different. What’s good for you may not be good for me. We’re counting on companies to use safe chemicals when manufacturing their products because when the chemicals used are not safe or contain allergens, it can irritate the skin and aggravate it….and this promotes formation of signs of aging.

Creams that you slather onto your face should contain as many natural ingredients as possible. Many companies are already doing this, counting on natural raw material (like fruits, flowers, mud, minerals, etc), that is.

Before purchasing, we should take a serious look at the level of anti-oxidants contained because stuff like grape seed, avocado, honey, flowers can help detoxify your skin so that wrinkles are slowly erased. And it’s natural and gentle too.

What you may want to consider is to make your own skincare products. Some women prefer to do it at home for financial reasons, but there ARE others who do it because they have extremely sensitive skin. As natural as they are, they are slow to work and the benefits may not be seen immediately. But you will have the upper hand as far as safety and availability is concerned.

Combine good anti-aging products with a healthy lifestyle, you’ll improve your health and reverse the signs of aging very naturally. If you wanted to look younger and more beautiful, it makes sense to use a double-edged sword that would improve not only your looks but also your overall health. The benefits of a healthier body will become apparent after a couple of months. A change in lifestyle and consistent use of anti-aging products that works for you will become an eraser of time.

Add that to an anti-aging perfume that makes you smell eight years younger, you’ll turn heads and stop traffic regardless of your age.

A Younger Mindset With Yoga And Tai Chi

Anxiety syndrome and panic attacks are a very common result of living life in the fast lane….and it’s something we cannot and should not ignore. The problem with most people is that the moment the words ‘look up a psychiatrist’ are uttered, they reel back in shock and their fort of defense goes up…. ‘I am not going crazy!’

No, you’re not. No one is. But if looking up a psychiatrist isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, here are some things you should know if you don’t get some help. Anxiety and panic not only makes your life a misery, it also ages you by a lot if you don’t learn how to relax yourself. Fact two, there are other ways to relieve the symptoms of anxiety and stress (apart from looking up a psychiatrist) and that would be to count on alternative therapy which does NOT cost a lot, is easy to follow and you have many different options to choose from. Pick one that works best for you, that is my advice.

Tai Chi, yoga, meditation, religion and spirituality, prayers, chanting and hypnosis are just a few of the many different types of ways you can use to control the way your mind wanders to areas it should not wander into. Once you’ve learned how to control your mind with mindful thoughts of the present, you will be happier person. And a happier person is always a more beautiful person who looks and behave younger. Learn to let things go and go with the flow, like they always say, it will do you a world of good.

Tai chi and yoga are extremely powerful methods of combating stress and relaxing the mind. Yes, it has its roots in the East but if you open your mind a little, you’ll be able to find your way to a more beautiful you…..inside and outside. If enrolling yourself into a class full of experts bothers you, this is what you can do….run to the nearest DVD store and get your hands on one of those do-it-at-home videos. Plug it into the TV and do it right there in your living room. It’s fun, you’ll see.

Yoga and Tai Chi is considered, by most, a mind and body relaxation therapy. Yoga not only stretches the limbs but it also stretches the mind. Tai Chi, in the meantime, will slow down your movements….like the flowing river water….and promotes activity without stress and reduces the risk of illnesses.

Both Yoga and Tai Chi involves the whole body therefore, you become physically fitter and mentally more agile. You’ll also be in a better position to battle the onslaughts of everyday living without bringing stress with you when you’re trying to go to bed at night.

Once the benefits of practicing either yoga or Tai Chi sinks in and you start seeing signs of improvement in the way you feel, one day, you’re going to wake up, look in the mirror and see a younger and more beautiful ‘you’.

Letting Go Is The Way To Youthfulness

The one single thing that makes you look older are wrinkles? Right? Wrong. According to the Book of Beauty and Youthfulness, looking young and beautiful has little to do with the many wrinkles around your eyes, mouth, neck, hands, etc. In fact, the more wrinkles you have, it shows to the world that the more soul you have, the more you’ve lived, the smiles you’ve shone in this lifetime.

What prompted this was an ‘inspiring’ blog post on Oprah Winfrey’s accidental deletion of a note she made on her mobile phone, a Blackberry. You see, according to the article, Oprah Winfrey writes down notes on her mobile phone whenever a thought strikes her and she doesn’t want to forget that that thought ever occurred to her – so, the moment she thinks of something, she whips out the handy mobile phone and types it in and save.

One fine day, I assume that the affluent Miss Winfrey wasn’t in her top form because after writing her note, instead of saving the file, she deleted the file. Tried as she might to recover the document, it was all to no avail. The file is lost….forever. No amount of button-pushing was going to get her note back and there’s absolutely nothing she can do about it.

Life is like that – you make a mistake and it’s gone. The most important thing is, in Miss Winfrey’s case, you never forget where the ‘save’ button is and to avoid the ‘delete’ button at all cost!

It was a mistake, yeah, sure….we all agree that it was but the more we think about it, ponder over it, regret it, the less life we are going to live. Life is not to be spent on thinking about a note we deleted, a nasty name we accidentally called a good friend or the spanking we just gave our kids. If our quest for looking young and beautiful is to be on the right track, we need to be able to let things go and live life to its fullest.

That is the secret to the fountain of youth….yeah, sure, you can count on your creams and anti-aging fragrances to help you but it goes beyond what the external can do. In order to look beautiful and young, you’d need to lose yourself in living; forget the mistakes but never forget the lessons that you’ve learned while making the mistakes.

You see, when Oprah lost her note, the love of her life told her that maybe she was meant to write something better – that advice sounds like wise advice.

So, to start looking young and beautiful, start with letting go of mistakes and learn to live life as if it’s the last day you have left.

Facts For Fragrance Shopping

There’s an air of recklessness in the air….or it’s more like, there’s a scent in the air and it smells like something you would smell really sexy with. The fire of impulsiveness burns deep inside of you. You CAN’T walk past without at least TRYING the scent out on your own skin, you think. This is what happens when you strike up an unknowing relationship with a fragrance and you must approach this with stubborn determination to know everything there is to know about the scent before whipping out the plastic.

Here are a couple of facts to bear in mind before purchasing a fragrance.

You can’t smell them all in one day

We’ve all been through it….fleeting from one counter to the next, smelling scent after scent on the paper that the sales person have sprayed it on. My advice is that you should limit yourself to smelling no more than ten different fragrances in one day because cross the line and you won’t smell the difference. It’s possible to drown your sense of smell with too much.

If you find yourself fixated to one particular scent, test THAT ONE out on your own skin to see how the scent mingles in with your own body chemistry. The same scent sprayed on different people will most probably smell slightly different to others.

How long should you keep the perfume?

There’s, generally speaking, no age limit to a bottle of scent. They usually last as long as you want them to if properly stored and kept. But I’ve known many bottles of my favorite perfumes to take a turn for the worse after a couple of years and that’s when you’re suppose to dump them. Fragrances should be kept in a dim and dark place, not under the sun or beside your clothes dryer.

Our sense of smell is so unique that it can make you FEEL an emotion you wish to feel

For instance, if you are told that there are apples in a box and you have to stick your nose into it, you’ll smell apples even if there are peaches in there. This is because our sense of smell is very….vulnerable and flexible to suggestions. Imagine the same kind of thing for your eyes – can you actually see an apple in a box if someone told you that there was?

Likely not, unless you’ve got supernatural imagination, of course.

This is not a surprise at all because our sense of smell is a very well-developed one….one that is the first of all our senses to fully develop in the womb.

So, bear this in mind when you’re out shopping for a good bottle of fragrance. Who knows, you might find one that makes you feel absolutely beautiful, young and sexy.

FOUR Good Reasons To Look Good

As if anyone needs a reason to look good, I am going to lay it out right here anyway. There are many reasons why, even if we’re attached, engaged or married, we should do our best to look young, attractive and youthful….to the best of our abilities. Some might say that they try to look youthful and beautiful for the person that they love. Some contend that they have a steady list of before-bedtime to do list to abide by because they are doing it for themselves. Either way, they are right.

You do it for yourself
When you look good, you feel better; when you feel better, you behave better; when you behave better, the people around you tend to respond to you positively.

Now, tell me that looking good isn’t important to you regardless of whether you’re a woman or a man. Most people presume that looking good is only important for single women or career-climbing spideywomen but this cannot be further from the truth. Mothers and single parents should make every effort to look beautiful and youthful for their own sake.

You’ll be more confident
I won’t deny that confident women tend to look beautiful or youthful without needing too much help from cosmetics or other forms of accessories. They naturally excude confidence and poise without having to try too hard.

Now, take it on the reverse. Just by putting in a little bit of effort in looking good or comfortable, the bounce will naturally come back to your walk…in fact, if you’re not careful, you might suddenly catch yourself skipping your way to the train station. :-)

For your partner
Most of the time, I tell others that they don’t have to do anything to make others happy if it makes them unhappy. This is the complete truth. But let’s just say that a little effort in trying to make yourself look good makes your partner happy, would this, in turn, make YOU happy?

See? It’s a win-win situation.

It’s not as hard as you think it is
Many people think that when someone puts effort into trying to look young and beautiful, it requires a big budget and a lot of free time when the opposite is true. Investment in good products like an anti-aging fragrance is a good idea but generally speaking, as long as you keep to a regular healthy routine, you’re probably on the right route.
