You’re Beautiful, Don’t Give Up On Yourself

Most people don’t bother to do anything about the way they look when they reach the following stages:-

  • Are in a stable relationship with a guy they deem will never leave them till the day they die;
  • Are married because….well, what’s the point?
  • Have children. Who’s got time?
  • Depressed. Who’s got the enthusiasm for it?
  • Reach fifty or menopausal age….sigh….

Here’s the thing about up-keeping yourself – you’ve got to do it for you. The more you do it for yourself, the better things become. You’ll see. Women who have reach the 50-year mark are most susceptible to feeling like it’s not worth it anymore or that it’s not even possible to be confident in their wrinkle-filled skin…who’d want to look at a face like that, anyway, they think.

But it’s possible and I strongly encourage women who have reached the above stages to keep at it because it’s so simple that you’d laugh at your own indecisiveness and inability to see that it means so much to a woman to keep herself happy with the way she looks.

Creams, lotions and procedures offering anti-aging solutions is one way to go but basically, what I am trying to say is that it all starts within you. Having peace of mind, confidence and the ability to enjoy life is the first step. This is the solution for people who are in their fifties and people who are depressed.

The next step is to identify products that could help you feel young, beautiful, attractive, sexy and interesting despite all the things you believe of yourself. Some creams promises to erase ten years off your face, some has the ability to wipe off years with a mere whiff like anti-aging perfumes…whatever it is, if it works for you, keep at it.

And of course, you’ll need stay away from stuff and habits that ages you like alcohol and cigarettes. Not only do they age your body, they age your skin very quickly too. Drink lots of water throughout the day because water hydrates your body and your skin – your skin and body need a lot of water to flush out nasty components that your body produces actively throughout the day. Exercise keeps you mentally and physically positive and fit, therefore never underestimate the power of a short walk around the park every day.

There’s one other thing that makes you feel and look absolutely young and vibrant and that is your relationship with other people around you. hang around your friends and catch up with your family members often because the vibe that they give you (the positive, of course) will rub off on you and it’s a sure-fire way to make you feel completely on top of the world.

It doesn’t cost you anything and yet, it’s priceless.

How Much Can We Rely On Anti-Aging Product Reviews

Reviews of anti-aging products can really save you time, especially when there’s something new in the market and you’re not sure if suits you. Leaf through magazines or surf to your heart’s content on the internet to find latest reviews, honest feedbacks and comments left by users there to better make your decision on an anti-aging product.

There’s a problem, however, and that would be this – it’s hard to tell the difference between what’s real and what’s planted by sales and promotion people who are trying their darnest to push these products into the market hoping to creep past their competitors in the increasingly competitive market today. Some brands hire people to go into websites, blogs, forums and message boards to write favorable comments and reviews about their product hoping to pull some wool over the eyes of potential customers.

This is in no way an indication of the value or quality of the products, of course. What I am saying is that it makes life tougher for common people like you and me who are looking for honest-to-goodness genuine anti-aging product reviews.

First thing first, remember to have an open-mind about what you read on the internet, in other words, take everything in with a pinch of salt. However, here’s how you can differentiate between authentic feedbacks from sales-driven comments….the history or member profile of the user who is posting the comment. If a person makes a long enough comment that is filled with relevant and useful information, this person is most likely offering you a sincere opinion about the anti-aging product that he or she is reviewing. Most sales-driven pitches are short and filled with links….actually, they’re really quite easy to spot.

If this is a members-only site, this member would most probably have his or her own profile page. Check in with the member’s profile page and see if this person has a connection with the company promoting the product. Does this person make comments about OTHER products apart from the one that you’re interested in.

If the reviewer of the anti-aging product comments on other brands, products, creams and lotions in the market today, you’re most probably looking at someone who is in the industry and makes it a habit to review these products.

How the reviewer is offering the comment is also important. A sales-driven pitch would probably be, as mentioned, really short and contains one, two or three links to a particular site. It will also be blatantly obvious that the reviewer is biased in the language that is used. Stuff like ‘it’s the BEST IN THE WORLD’ or ‘you can’t find anything else that’s better’ are obvious statements a sales person would use to promote an anti-aging product online.

Read wisely.

Asian Skin Naturally Younger

It’s common to find young Asian women trying to defy the natural yellowish-tone of their by smoothing on whitening lotions or creams that comes bottled-up with whitening agents. Fairness and a healthy glow is what most women vie for. Asians have more melanin in their skin, so they tend to look, not darker, but more yellow than other races. The shade of yellow can range from very light to tan.

Generally speaking, it’s easier for Asians to maintain their skin because of their diet and their skin and we all know that Asians don’t age as quickly as Westerners. It’s easier, in short, for them to look years younger than they really are. With good skincare regime, a healthy diet and exercise, an Asian woman can look more than eight to ten years younger than her real age….without too much effort.

The biggest enemy to young Asian skin is the sun. Women from countries with consistently hot weather all-year-round will need to be extra careful about the stuff that they use, using sun screen whenever they head out and regularly maintain a good routine before bed time. Even good skin can be damaged by the sun if proper care is not observed. Moisturizer applied in the morning, before heading out to work, will keep skin moisturized during the day. Not only will the sun dry out the skin, the air-conditioning system have a huge role to play as well.

Dark patches of skin are direct results of sun damage – the sun is your best friend on the beach but it’s too easy to forget that it’s a fiend to the skin. It makes scrubbing your skin clean at night an impossibly necessary part of your life – but not scrubbing too hard. Cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin religiously if your line of work requires you to be out under the sun a lot.

Once or twice a week, you’ll need a gentle exfoliating lotion, cream or powder to scrub the dead skin cells off. Do NOT exfoliate too often because it will dry out the skin and cause extra production of oil and sebum which clogs pores.

And let’s not forget food for our skin. Keeping away from oily food is a good idea, but more importantly, we should consume more fruits and vegetables (a great source of Vitamin A and C) if we want jaw-dropping skin. Vitamin A gives you skin with head-turning glow while Vitamin C promotes production of collagen which enhances elasticity of your skin.

Working Women And Beauty

You know how sometimes we wish that we could just wake up, get dressed, head out the door, jump into the car and look like a movie star waltzing into the office? Well, the bad news is that….it never happens that way, and it will never….EVER! So, what’s a working woman or mother to do but to do SOMETHING (anything) about juggling family life and business so that she would look every bit the movie star that she deserves to look like every morning?

That’s the bad news. The good news is that working women should have a load of these beauty tips that can shorten their time in the morning. It’s a dreadful chore trying to get the kids (if you have them. Bless you if you don’t have them yet) and yourself ready in the morning. Getting up early in the morning, bug-eyed, becomes something of a nightmare.

But try some of these short-cut tips.

Flat hair or bad hair day solution

Most women with long or long-ish hair will have problems dealing with unruly curls or NO CURLS or hair-sticking-out-everywhere-syndrome some mornings. You deal with them by setting your hair at night…and yes, this means going to bed with curlers and some setting agent. The down side is that you’re probably going to have to change the pillow case a lot more during the week but hey, nothing in this world is free.

Put your hair in rollers (you don’t have to do this for the whole head) while it’s still half-dry and them put some gel or setting solution to it before going off to bed.

Use celebrity makeup as an example

This is truly easy. Most of us would tear our hair out in front of the mirror trying to make ourselves up in the morning. Instead of doing that, try this. Cut out pictures of celebrities who look good in magazines and have them placed in your drawer. Before you go to sleep at night, pick one out, something you’d like to try tomorrow morning, and stick it to the mirror.

The next morning, duplicate that to the best of your ability.

The night before

If you want to look young and beautiful the next day, you’ll have to do your homework the night before – I’m serious, there’s no exception to this rule.

You want to save time in the morning without sacrificing the way you look, then you’ll have to get everything prepared at night. Working women are considered the pillars of every family. Not only do they have to do their bit in bringing in the dough but they’re shouldering the responsibilities of caring for the family, herself and kids. Harrowing task, if you ask me, but not impossible.

It helps to dab on a little bit of anti-aging fragrance every morning before you head out the door, though. Stripping away the years have never been easier!

Looking Youthful Should Not Be An Obsession

Trying to look younger can become more than just a simple regime – it can become an obsession. Once a woman becomes objectively obsessed with looking younger, things will go out of hand. This came about after reading an article about a particular actress who shall remain nameless throughout this article and her obsession with staying younger and cheating her body into believing that she’s still in her thirties when she’s already hitting the big 6-0.

Staying younger and looking beautiful should be as natural a process as possible and to debunk the myth about how ‘natural’ doesn’t quite cut it, here I am telling you that it’s completely possible. While some deem that there’s nothing wrong with bottles of vitamins, surgeries and injections, going back to the basics and using safe products, services and employing safe and natural ways to remain younger should be at the top of the list of priorities.

The grueling regimen will get to the best of us

In the beginning, it could all be very exciting because the possibility of staying younger and looking more beautiful than all of your friends within the same age group gives you hope. But once there’s result, things could change. The way you perceive and rely on the regimen will start taking its toll on your body.

Keep it safe and simple….and you shall rely on nothing.

Get the basics right

The reason why young kids and teenagers look younger and more youthful is because their lives are less complicated. While it’s not possible to run away from the fact that we’re adults dealing with grown-up problems and responsibilities, it’s possible to have the mentality of the young. Embrace the NOW, be in the present moment, completely overwhelm yourself with what surrounds you right now…that keeps the mind young. Like they say, your mind is the most powerful thing known to mankind and if it can figure out how to make metal fly, they can figure out a way to make you look and behave younger.

Exercise and keep the body healthy

One of the biggest favors you can do for yourself, if you’re on a quest to looking and feeling younger, is to exercise. Make it a point to do so even if you have a schedule that does not permit such luxuries. It could be something simple like going for a walk, running to the grocery store, walking the dog or cycling around the neighborhood. As soon as you get the blood pumping in your system, your body will respond accordingly and I assure you that your whole mindset will change.

Along with that, the way you look will too. It would then be impossible to look attractive and young by merely putting on your favorite clothing ensemble and dabbing on your favorite anti-aging perfume.
