Men’s Natural Scent Has Been Over-Rated

It seems that we have been giving the sex hormone in men a little bit too much credit for doing too little. It has been said that the attractiveness of a man lies in how he smells and that females are particularly attracted to the scent of pheromones….which is essentially their natural odor when they sweat. Studies upon studies has been done to confirm the fact that the scent of male sweat is a powerful magnet to women but there are misinterpretations in that because of mere over-simplification of the results.

The truth of the matter is when a man sweats, the male pheromone called androstenone is produced. Fresh androstenone is attractive to women because some perceive it to be the ‘macho’ smell of men who are active and on the move. Over a period of time, the smell of the sweat mingles in with oxygen – and it becomes unpleasant. Really….

The effect of the smell a man sweat is short-lived too so a shower is highly recommended after a good game of soccer; do not head straight out for a dinner date with the girl of your dreams after a good sweat-out session in the gym thinking that she’s going to be turned on.

Most of the studies done on the male natural scent’s attractive pull towards women are rather inconclusive. A man wearing a fragrance with pheromone-base in a crowded party would have to fight with the scent of other males wearing other types of perfume. Since the natural scent of a male is very subtle, the pull of the scent in a crowded party scene is questionable. The natural man scent can only take effect when the man is on a close one-on-one encounter – and needless to say, the man would have to use other means to reach that stage of intimacy with the woman.

On another note, there are studies done that shows that men who wear other types on ‘unnatural’ fragrances on a daily basis does improve their mood, personality and increase their confidence level. If done consistently, it can even help with stress, depression, anger management, confusion, headaches and fatigue. When one is happy with life and is confident about one’s ability, one would naturally become more attractive to the opposite sex.

So, in conclusion, men’s natural scent has been over-rated. Men DO need help from a good bottle of fragrance that mingles well with their natural odor that helps attract the opposite sex.

To Stay Young, You Need To Be Healthy FIRST

Nearly everyone that I’ve ever asked said that they wanted to look younger when given the option of staying healthy and staying young. When you’re young, the worry about health would never have cropped up in the first place, I agree with that but as we age and we realize that it’s impossible to stay young forever. And the irony is that in order to stay young, we need to stay HEALTHY first.

We form habits, some of the unhealthy, as we live and grow older. Your habits will affect your health and in tidal wave, affects the way you look. Smoking is not only a dangerous habit but it also speeds up the aging process. More than four-hundred-and-forty-thousand people die due to direct and indirect affect of smoking. While drinking alcohol is permissible and some say it’s good for the body but the rule of moderation should not be broken. Drinking too much alcohol can cause problems to your liver, throat and digestive system. Men should drink no more than 2 drinks per day while women should have 1 per day and that would be just fine.

Eating a proper meal on a regular basis will not only keep your body in fine shape but it will make you look fantastic as well. It charges the body up for major cleanups within your physical system so that there’s enough resources for your body to reproduce cells….which leads to a more beautiful you. If you’re thin, work out a better diet with a nutritionist if you have to. If you’re overweight, exercise and eat healthy small bite-sized meals throughout the day to fight hunger pangs.

It’s one thing to want to look awesome during summer time but it’s quite another to overdo the sunbathing and use of unnatural tanning booths! Overdoing it is not only dangerous but it may open up doors to unwanted wrinkles which is, as we all know, irreversible with the exception of extensive surgery.

On top of making your blood pressure shoot through the roof, stress is also the cause depression and other disorders. Keep it at bay to keep your cholesterol and blood pressure in check.

How To Become Absolutely Irresistible

It’s amazing how differently people answer that question. One woman’s answer was ‘confidence’ and I would have to agree on that one but confidence is something you can’t buy in a store. It’s, some would say, something that you either have or you don’t, so it would be a pity if people who were not arrogantly aggressive can’t be irresistible.

Women who are flirty, apparently, gets the attention of men more than women who are less so….this goes without saying, of course because men are only human. If they have a beautiful woman flirting with them, the first thought that enters the head is ‘why not?’

The other thing about being completely irresistible is the way a woman holds herself. Even when you’re short, you can stand taller. Even when you don’t look like Angelina Jolie, you can make use of killer dresses, nice strappy heels, makeup and a good skincare routine to have beautiful skin. The way a woman treats herself and holds herself when she’s out there in the world shows and the straighter you stand, the more attention you give to the way you look, the more irresistible you will be.

Have the right foundation

Matching your eyeshadow with your outfit

That is why need to pre-plan what we are going to wear….so that we know we have a shade of eyeshadow that can go with it. If you’re wearing blue, you wear blue eye shadow, if you’re wearing green, your eye shadow should be green. That’s the rule….that can be broken.


Sometimes when you apply a shade of color to your eyes that contrasts your outfit, it makes your eyes and the makeup that you’ve applied to it, stand out. Big, beautiful green eyes become more pronounced, larger and enchanting.

Have A Beautiful Landing

If you’re an air stewardess, you will understand why you need ten inches of makeup to keep you from looking lifeless and haggard after each flight. Traveling is fun but the flight can zap the youthful appearance from our faces. You could look young and beautiful before the trip and then when the plan lands, everything lands with it.

For long flights, you might want to consider drinking lots and lots of water before, during and after the flight. They’re served on the plane, so, ask for it and take as much as you can. Try to avoid drinking alcohol or other fizzy drinks that they, sometimes, serve too. Well, one or two might not hurt your looks very much but try not to. On top of doing that, you need to moisturize your face before the flight. Green tea has fantastic calming effects on nerves if you’re looking for a beautiful landing.

As for makeup style, I encourage people to go for the I-don’t-really-care-about-the-way-I-look style. The reason? Simple. You’ll look smashingly natural even when tired instead of overdoing the cosmetics. Natural makeup style will bring out the best in your tired state.

Listen to some relaxing music on the flight instead of watching Rambo reruns or some exciting movie which will pump some adrenaline into you. The US Government condones eating of complex carbohydrates although many of us have been advised to avoid carbohydrates at all costs if we are to lose weight. Now, the thing is this, there are good carbohydrates and there are bad ones. The ones you SHOULD consume more of are fruits, vegetables and whole grains. If you can fit some nutritional supplements into it, that’ll be fantastic. Milk, olive and canola oil contains a healthy dose of unsaturated fat, so top it up and place special emphasis on oatmeal, whole wheat bread and a little bit of rice.

Endure, endure, endure
One of the biggest changes you can do to your life and the way you look is to start a brand new strength and endurance exercise program if you’re not already on one. How healthy we are and how hard we’ve lived is often reflected upon the condition of our skin. Live Longer, Worry Less


A worrier will not only live less but they enjoy less and it will all be reflected upon the face and physical fitness of that person. There’s no sure-fire way to eliminate stress, anxiety and worry from our lives but here are some common worries we face on an everyday basis.

Work worry – With the current economy, too many people suffer from work worry. Question marks are all over the face and hearts flutter at the mere mention of possible layoffs. To get out of this circle, try closing your eye on how your company is doing. Focus on a good leader and some great colleagues who are positive. Meet with your boss often and be generous. We’re not saying shoe-polishing but do your best and we’re sure you’ll be seen as, at least, ‘worth keeping’.

Kids worry – If you’re a mother, you’ll agree with me that it’s hard to push the thoughts of something potentially happening to our kids whenever they are away from us. If their health is what’s keeping you awake at night, speak to a professional, preferably a pediatrician who can help you understand what is happening. Knowing is the best way to eliminate unnecessary questions. If it’s their school work, get in touch with a tutor. Don’t let the kid worry get too far till it interferes with your own life as a person.

Health worry – One of the worst worries in the world would be probably the kind of worry that you have about whether your body or mind is holding up or now. Every now and then, you worry about minor tummy aches or that tingle in your knees. Health worry worsens when you watch others around you fall ill or die; perhaps you’ve just discovered that a certain illness runs in your family. If that’s worrying you, get a total body checkup…NOW! Money worry – In the current state of our economy, I don’t think it’s a surprise at all that more people worry about money than ever before! Surprisingly, people who have been raised to believe that money creates happiness tend to worry more about money. They associate money with power, confidence, love and influence. It’s also a good idea to refocus your life around something else that is equally if not more important. Reprioritizing will set your free to think about something else instead mulling over whether you’re going to have enough money tomorrow, next week or next month.

Once you’ve addressed your worry issues, you’ll find yourself a freer person; someone who is happier, healthier and more able to live life to the fullest. And believe it or not, this is the core of looking like someone who is full of zest and life.

How To Stop Reflecting Your Age On Your Face


In order to look and feel young, you need the following:-
1. sleep

2. exercise

3. proper relaxation time

4. reduced level of stress

5. balanced diet
6. healthy self-esteem


These are just 6 items that I am looking at but there is an endless number of things that I can think of about how to keep from aging prematurely. If you keep to at least the above list, you’ll not only keep aging at bay, but you’ll also start slowing down the aging process. Sooner than you know, you’ll look a few years younger than your peers.

Sweet, sweet slumber
Without the above, the first thing you’ll feel is the inability to sleep well at night and that will lead to, naturally, fatigue during the day. Fighting fatigue when you have to contend with bosses or customers all day long can cause you a lot of stress. Combine that with unhealthy eating habits - that’s like asking to age faster.


One of the first signs that life is getting to you is when you feel consistent ache on your shoulders and neck. They’re usually the first place to give you an indication that you need to do something about your lifestyle.


Dieting without a good cause
Nothing runs you down faster than not consuming the right amount of good, nutritious food at the right time, paying particular attention to fruits and vegetables. Your gender, weight, height, built, activity level and age plays a huge role in determining how much you need to eat to sustain your energy level.

The importance of water

Believe it or not, when one is dehydrated, the body suffers and energy level drops. You will have a harder time concentrating on tasks at hand despite being dehydrated.

So the first thing you need to do is to sit down and rate yourself according to the above list. How far off are you and how are you going to remedy that.
